ci sono quelli che vengono schiantati dal dolore. quelli che diventano pensosi. ci sono quelli che parlano del più del meno sull'orlo della tomba, e continuano in macchina, del più e del meno, neanche del morto, di piccole cose domestiche, ci sono quelli che dopo si suicideranno e non glielo si vede in faccia , ci sono quelli che piangono molto e cicatrizzano in fretta; quelli che annegano nelle lacrime che versano, quelli che sono contenti, sbarazzati da qualcuno, ci sono quelli che non riescono più a vedere il morto, tentano ma non ce la fanno, il morto ha portato con sè la propria immagine, ci sono quelli che vedono il morto ovunque, vorrebbero cancellarlo, vendono i suoi tre stracci, bruciano le sue foto, traslocano, cambiano continente, ci riprovano con un vivo, ma niente da fare, il morto è sempre lì, nel retrovisore, ci sono quelli che fanno il pic-nic al cimitero e quelli che lo evitano perchè hanno una tomba scavata nella testa, ci sono quelli che non mangiano più, ci sono quelli che bevono, quelli che si domandano se il loro dolore è autentico o costruito, ci sono quelli che si ammazzano di lavoro e quelli che finalmente si prendono una vacanza, ci sono quelli che trovano la morte scandalosa e quelli che la trovano naturale con-l'età-per-cui, circonstanze-che-fanno-sì-che, è la guerra, è la malattia, è la moto, la macchina, l'epoca, la vita, ci sono quelli che trovano che la morte sia la vita. -Pennac-
